Cloud4Business combines software development with a growing commitment to research and innovation. We actively participate in European and national R&I programmes, bringing our expertise in cloud architectures, data integration, AI and cybersecurity to complex, multidisciplinary challenges.
Our R&I Strategy
C4B’s research and innovation strategy focuses on four main pillars:
1. AI and Machine Learning for Industrial Environments and Construction Sites
Development of predictive models, real-time analytics and decision-support dashboards for monitoring complex processes. Application of anomaly detection, feature engineering and on-premise AI for environments with limited connectivity and low-latency requirements (<200 ms for safety-critical operations).
2. Data Integration and Interoperability
API-first approach with microservice architectures for integrating heterogeneous data sources: IoT telemetry, BIM models (IFC/IDS), LiDAR/RGB-D scanners, environmental sensors. High-frequency ingestion pipelines (≥10 Hz) with MQTT, REST, WebSocket and OPC-UA protocols. OpenAPI 3.0 compliance with conformance testing and semantic versioning.
3. Digital Twin and Real-Time Analytics
Contribution to the development of Digital Twin infrastructures for the construction sector: data ingestion from robots (ROS-2 telemetry), feature engineering, analytics on progress, quality, safety and environmental impacts. Dashboards with data-to-decision latency <5 minutes.
4. Cybersecurity and Data Governance
ISMS approach (ISO 27001) applied to R&I: secure data management in multi-partner contexts, RBAC/ABAC policy enforcement, audit trails, encryption in transit and at rest, GDPR-compliant backup/retention. Expertise in security for hybrid cloud and edge architectures.
